Frequently asked questions

Clear answers before you begin

Still unsure? Send us a copy of your document and the destination country, and we'll tell you what it needs.

What is an apostille?+
An apostille is a certificate issued by a designated government authority that authenticates the signature, official capacity and seal appearing on a public document. It allows the document to be presented in another country that participates in the Hague Apostille Convention, subject to the requirements of the receiving authority.
Apostille or consular legalization?+
If the destination country participates in the Hague Convention, an apostille is generally enough. If not, the document requires consular legalization: a series of state, federal and consulate authentications. We coordinate both — just tell us the destination country.
How long does it take?+
It depends on the document, the issuing authority and the destination country. We provide an estimated time in your document review. We normally respond to inquiries within one business day, and expedited options may be available depending on the document, issuing authority and destination.
Do you work with documents from any state?+
We coordinate apostille and authentication procedures for documents issued in any of the 50 states, as well as eligible federal documents. The apostille itself is issued by the competent authority of each jurisdiction.
Do I need to send the original document?+
At first we only need a copy to review and quote. We then clearly tell you whether your case requires the original or a certified copy, and how to send it safely.
How much does it cost?+
It depends on the document and destination. The initial review is free — message us on WhatsApp with a copy and we'll provide the estimated professional fees and government fees.
Do you guarantee the document will be accepted?+
Final acceptance depends on the authority or institution receiving the document. Our role is to correctly prepare and coordinate the apostille or legalization according to the applicable requirements.
