birth certificate apostille service
The correct route

What to know before you begin

U.S. birth records are maintained in the state or locality where the birth occurred. The federal government does not keep a national certificate file. The certified copy and apostille therefore follow the place of origin—not your current state of residence.

Before ordering a copy, confirm whether the recipient calls for a long form, parents' names, a recent issue date or translation.

Do not mail originals before review

A clear photo or PDF lets us identify the authority, format and prior steps.

What determines the price

When applicable, the quote separates preparation, government fees, courier and translation.

Issuing state

Each state sets its own fees, requirements and service options.

Obtaining the certificate

Ordering a new certified copy is separate from the apostille.

Quantity and destination

Each certificate may need its own apostille and shipment.

Translation and courier

Depend on the required format and delivery location.

How it works

Expected process

1

Certificate review

We verify the issuer, signature, format and foreign requirement.

2

Certified copy and apostille

We identify whether a new copy is needed and coordinate the proper state.

3

Final delivery

We return the apostilled set and coordinate translation when applicable.

About timing

Total time depends on two offices: the authority issuing the certified copy and the authority issuing the apostille. Corrections, long-form requests, mail and translation also matter. We provide an estimate after identifying the state and reviewing the copy.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Final requirements are always controlled by the receiving authority.

Is it apostilled where I was born or where I live?+
In the state or jurisdiction that issued the certificate. Current residence does not change the record's origin.
Will the hospital certificate work?+
Usually not. The certified civil record from the competent authority is required.
Can a photocopy be apostilled?+
An ordinary photocopy does not replace the certified copy required by the state.
Do I need the long form?+
It depends on the country and procedure. Confirm before ordering.
Will an apostille correct a name?+
No. Corrections are handled by the vital-records office.
