What is a certificate of origin?
A certificate of origin declares the commercial country of origin of the goods according to the information provided by the exporter or manufacturer and the rules applicable to the operation.
Integramerica does not on its own determine or certify the origin of the merchandise; we coordinate the authentication of the document presented.
Depending on the destination, the document may need an apostille (for Hague Convention countries) or consular legalization (for countries that don't accept apostilles). We review the documentation and available requirements to identify the applicable authentication procedure.
What the procedure can include
Not every certificate of origin follows the same path. Depending on the product and the destination, it may involve some or all of these steps.

Prepared by the exporter or manufacturer with the details of the goods.
2 · Signature / notarization
Signed or notarized, when the destination or entity requires it.
3 · Chamber of commerce
Certified by a chamber of commerce or another authorized body, if required.
4 · Corresponding authentication
The document may require state certification or authentication, depending on who signed or certified it.
5 · Apostille or consular legalization
When applicable, the apostille or the chain of authentication and consular legalization required by the destination country is coordinated.
For some destinations and commercial operations, several consecutive steps may be required, such as notarization, chamber-of-commerce certification and consular legalization. We confirm the exact sequence for your destination.
Possible additional requirement
Certified translation: some countries, buyers, banks or customs authorities may require a translation. We confirm whether it must be done before or after authentication.
